Thunderstorms are rolling across northeastern Oklahoma Thursday morning. The storms produced lightning, strong winds and lots of rain as they moved out of Kansas earlier in the morning.
News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says the showers and storms will dissipate by mid-morning but more thunderstorms could develop later in the day. He says high temperatures should be in the mid-90s with a heat index of near 100 by the afternoon.
Crone says the forecast calls for highs in the 90s and a slight chance of showers or storms across northeastern Oklahoma and southeast Kansas into the weekend.
The rain has led to multiple minor crashes across the Tulsa area.
