North Tulsa Group Hosts 'Positivity' Event

A north Tulsa community group gathered at John Hope Franklin Reconciliation Park on Saturday night.

Neighbors Encouraging Other Neighbors or NEON hosted several other groups presenting information about resources available to Tulsa community members.

Organizers say they wanted to share the themes of social awareness, education and community spirit.

"It's all about positivity,” Jonathan Townsend said. “Sharing love with one another, that's what it's all about here in north Tulsa. And I think that's essential to the fabric of our community."

Organizers say the event was unique because it was put together by young adults in the community.
