News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says the rain cooled air will keep the temperature across eastern Oklahoma below 70 degrees Thursday.

He says the heaviest rain will be south of I-40. Three to five inches of rain is possible as the showers slowly push east into Arkansas, raising the potential for flooding especially in low-lying areas.

As the rain exits the state Friday, Crone says the temperature will climb back into the upper 70s.
