Police say a robber startled by customers ran from an East Tulsa QuikTrip empty handed. It happened at 215 North Garnett at about 11:10 p.m. Sunday. That's just off Interstate 244.

A man with a shirt pulled over his face told the clerk he had a gun, according to Tulsa Police. Customers entering the store seemed to startle the man, and he left with nothing. The clerk never saw a weapon, police say.

Police believe the man took off towards a nearby apartment complex, and they are reviewing surveillance video for more.

A QuikTrip at 11th and Utica was robbed just before 7 p.m. the same evening. Two juveniles got away with some beer after threatening the cashier with a knife, according to police.
