The Arkansas Travelers salvaged a split in their series with the Tulsa Drillers, defeating Tulsa, 3-1 on Saturday.
The Drillers took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI triple from Jose Gonzalez that scored Jared Simon from first base.
The Travelers rallied, scoring a single run in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings for the 3-1 lead that proved to be the final margin.
Nate Smith picked up the win for Arkansas while R.J. Seidel took the loss for Tulsa after giving up all three runs. Cam Bedrosian worked a perfect ninth inning for his 11th save of the season.
The Drillers are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Springdale to begin a four-game series with Northwest Arkansas at 6:05 p.m.
