Man Arrested After Running From Tulsa Police During Traffic Stop

A man takes off running after a traffic stop by Tulsa Police officers late Thursday.

Officers said the man was driving when they first tried to stop the car, but switched with a woman passenger who stopped at a QuikTrip at 11th and Sheridan.

Police said as the officer approached the car, the man took off running at about 11:30 p.m. After a brief foot chase, the man was arrested.

Officers said the man has a criminal history but police don't know why he ran.

Police said they retraced the man's path after leaving the car to see if he tried to get rid of something as he ran away.
