McAlester Man Dies After Car Crash In Pittsburg County

A McAlester man died in a single-vehicle accident in Pittsburg County, Tuesday morning.

Police say 78-year-old Jerry Gragg was driving westbound on County Road 4 around 10:30 a.m., four miles northeast of Alderson, Okla., when he ran off the road for an unknown reason and struck a tree.

Authorities say Gragg was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by Southwest EMS.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. No other information has been released at this time.
