A cold front is pushing its way across eastern Oklahoma Tuesday bringing cooler temperatures after Monday's highs which neared 100 degrees in several communities.
News On 6 meteorologist Michael Grogan says the weak front will also bring some showers and maybe some thunderstorms as it pushes south. He says the front will cause a shift in the winds from the south to the north.
Showers moved across northeastern Oklahoma early Tuesday. Those showers have now pushed off into Missouri and Arkansas.
On Monday, EMSA says they treated six patients with heat-related symptoms with four going to area hospitals. They said the patients ranged in age from 25 to 60.
EMSA says four cooling stations are now open in Tulsa.
