The start of the extended July 4th holiday weekend will be a pleasant one for folks across eastern Oklahoma.
News On 6 meteorologist Dick Faurot says highs Thursday and Friday will be in the mid to upper 80s with low humidity levels.
Faurot says much drier air has moved into Oklahoma bringing with it much cooler weather by July standards.
Starting Saturday, the temperatures will start to climb into the 90s before a chance of showers returns to the eastern Oklahoma Sunday afternoon.
By Monday, Faurot says typical July weather will return with temperatures in the mid-90s, high humidity and spotty showers in the forecast.
