The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Tulsa woman is in critical condition after she was struck by a car while crossing I-244 Wednesday night.

Troopers said Glenda Tomlin, 53, was walking north across the eastbound lanes near the Yale Avenue exit at about 11 p.m. after her car broke down. The OHP says she was struck by an eastbound 2014 Dodge Charger driven by Conjurel Wilson Jr. of Broken Arrow.

Troopers said neither Wilson nor a passenger in his car, Talisha Thacker of Oklahoma City, was injured. The OHP said Wilson stopped after striking Tomlin.

EMSA took Tomlin to the hospital.

"Don't cross the interstate. There's a bridge a couple hundred feet away she could have safely walked across," said OHP trooper Aaron Kern.

The OHP is still investigating.
