A 31-year-old Tulsa man is behind bars after an attempted carjacking Tuesday evening.
Officers said the victim was headed east on 23rd Street from Riverside Drive when she swerved to avoid Anthony Todd walking in the street just after 9 p.m.
After stopping, she told officers Todd tried to open her 2012 Chevy Cruze's car doors which were all locked. Todd then jumped on the car's hood yelling "let me in, let me in," while pounding on the windshield.
The victim called 911 and implied she had a weapon in the car. Anthony Todd then ran away, but was arrested a few minutes later.
He was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of attempted first degree robbery, jaywalking and public intoxication.
Jail records show Todd was being held in lieu of $50,150 bond with a court appearance set for July 1, 2014.
The woman was not injured.
