The City of Tulsa's mulch processing site will open in its new location Wednesday, June 11. The mulch site's new location is at 2100 North 145th East Avenue.
It's on a 400-acre property north of Pine between 129th East Avenue and 145th East Avenue. That's 350 acres more than the old mulch site, according to a news release.
Tulsa residents can dispose of yard waste for free as long as they show a Tulsa driver's license or utility bill. The site will be open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The old mulch site at 10401 East 56th Street North will be closed. A news release states that in 2013, that mulch site served 21,643 commercial customers and 42,868 residential customers. It produced 395,360 cubic yards of mulch from yard waste.
Need mulch? Mulch and firewood are free to Tulsa residents.
