A Tulsa firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion after a house fire early Saturday.
Firefighters were sent to the home in the 1600 block of West 46th Street at about 2:45 a.m. They arrived to find the back half of the home on fire.
District Chief Dale Cooley said a family who lives in the home was away at the time. He said a firefighter was treated and released from the hospital for heat exhaustion following the fire.
Investigators are now trying to determine the cause of the fire which destroyed the home.
Red Cross is assisting the family with a place to stay.
