EMSA is inviting the public to attend one of two free, compression-only CPR training sessions on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
The two events are:
This is National Emergency Medical Services Week and EMSA say compression-only CPR is easy to learn and perform.
EMSA says the simple procedure dramatically increases the chance a patient will survive a cardiac arrest. They say with compression-only CPR, bystanders can keep life-saving blood flowing through a person's body just by pressing on the chest in a hard, fast rhythm.
Learning the process takes less than 10 minutes. EMSA says participants at each location will have an opportunity to practice compressions and ask questions.
