Tulsa Police Officers are training on how to use a drug that can help people who have overdosed.
The new drug called Naloxone can help reverse the body from shutting down after someone has taken an overdose of drugs.
Officers say in the past few years Tulsa has seen a significant rise in drug use related deaths. They hope officers who are certified to administer the drug will mean more lives saved.
"Most officers are very familiar with over doses from various drugs, but this is an attempt to get them to be a little more specific on what they're seeing as far as relating it directly to a opiate based over dose," said Officer Anthony First.
The drug is administered through someone's nose and can help reverse an overdose within minutes.
