A Jenks mom filed a police report after some 11-year-old boys used several rolls of crime scene tape to vandalize her yard.

It wasn't the prank so much that bothered her, but the fact parents were driving the boys around at 12:30 a.m. to do this to people they don't even know.

It's not the crime of the century, but as you can see, it was quite a mess.

Mary Leibert said she can appreciate a good prank, she just didn't appreciate how this one was handled.

"As soon as I opened my door, they took off and there were two getaway cars at the end of the cul-de-sac."

That's when it dawned on Liebert that the kids must have had drivers.

At first, she figured it was older siblings, but she quickly learned it was 11-year-old boys at a birthday party and parents were driving them to commit the pranks.

Liebert said it took her more than an hour to get it all down as she was rushing, trying to make 8:30 a.m. Mass.

"I had to cut everything off individually because everything was knotted to a tree or basketball goal or the bush or this or this or my flag thing," she said.

Liebert said when she contacted the mother who hosted the birthday party, who also is a lawyer, her attitude was it was no big deal, that lots of kids do it and nothing was damaged.

Liebert said it's not the mess, but that parents were teaching kids it's OK to be out after curfew and to go onto someone else's property without permission.

They rang her bell before they left.

"I told her, this is 12:30 at night and I said, ‘this is not good, what if I would've answered my door with a gun?'" Liebert said.

She feels there could be a liability issue if someone gets hurt.

She said she doesn't know the parents, has never met them and her 11-year-old son wasn't even home at the time he was being pranked.

Liebert said if you want to prank her kid, she's all for it, but thinks a text or phone call, some type of a heads up would be nice.

"If you're going to do this, it's all fine, you need to be smart about how you're doing it," she said.
