More than 40 firefighters raced to snuff out a South Tulsa apartment fire Friday night. The flames were contained to just one apartment, but smoke filled several others.

Residents grabbed their pets, and some jumped from the second story to escape.

Fire victim, Jake Hilton, said, "We started yelling, 'help,' and someone gave us their car to jump onto."

Investigators said it was an accidental cooking fire.

No one was hurt and crews say firewalls in the complex helped keep the damage from spreading.
