Bartlesville Police following up on a domestic abuse report found marijuana, LSD and a weapon at a home Monday night, March 24. They knocked on the door in the southwest part of town after seeing the domestic abuse suspect's vehicle parked in front of the house.
Police say they could smell a strong odor of marijuana when Nibardo Garcia answered the door at the home in the 1500 block of Southwest Colorado Street. The 32-year-old man gave them consent to search the home and told officers there were about 10 pounds of pot inside, according to a news release.
Members of the BPD Drug Task Force were called to the scene, and officers found 12 one-pound bricks of marijuana, 250 hits of what is believed to be LSD and a hand gun. They say Garcia told them it was all his.
Another man at the residence, 23-year-old Ray Jay Jaggers, was arrested for domestic abuse which police say had happened elsewhere.
Police arrested Garcia for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a house where drugs are kept/sold and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
Police say Garcia told them he was not a legal resident of the United States and had already been deported once for drug-related charges.
