Tulsa Police Investigate Man Shot In Leg During Fight

Police say a Tulsa man was taken to a hospital following shooting during a fight in a parking lot late Wednesday.

Officers responded to the shooting in the 3800 block of South 103rd East Avenue at about 10:30 p.m.

Police said the fight apparently started at the Sugar Plum Apartments in the 10100 block of East 31st then moved to the nearby parking lot.  They said during the fight someone pulled a gun and fired at least one shot, hitting the victim in the leg.

Friends of the victim were taking the man to the hospital when they spotted an EMSA ambulance outside a convenience store at 31st and Memorial, officers said.  The friends stopped and paramedics got the victim to the hospital.

Police said the victim was uncooperative when questioned.

Police are still trying to sort out what happened and do not have a description of who shot the man.
