Van Plows Into Light Pole At Tulsa Intersection

Tulsa emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle wreck Sunday afternoon on Martin Luther King Boulevard. It happened just before 1 p.m. near the Interstate 244 overpass.

Police say the man driving hit a curb then lost control and plowed into a light pole. Firefighters had the driver wait in his van to make sure a power line was not live before he was helped from the vehicle.

Public Service of Oklahoma crews are working to restore power to the intersections on MLK and Detroit.

The driver was shaken up but did not appear to be injured.
