An Ottawa County man filed an excessive force lawsuit against the city of Miami, two police officers and a highway patrol trooper.

Jerry Payne was pulled over by Miami police officers and a Highway Patrol Trooper back in May. Payne was pulled from his truck at gunpoint, thrown to the ground and kicked while he's handcuffed.
He's asking for damages as well as attorney's fees.
