Missouri Woman Drives Ford Off Grand Lake Boat Ramp

Grand River Dam Authority Police recovered a Ford Ranger pickup after a Noel woman drove down a ramp into the lake.

It happened near the Cayuga Resort near the Cowskin area. Driver Brittney Melton showed up while the pickup was being pulled from the water Monday morning, according to the Grove Sun.

She told authorities she was driving in the area to see friends Sunday night and did not realize the road ended in a boat ramp. Melton escaped the pickup without injury and said she left, planning to deal with it on Monday.

Cowskin Fire Department and Delaware County Sheriff's Department assisted with the recovery.
