Tulsa County Sheriff's Office deputies say they arrested a Sand Springs man for choking his wife and taking her teeth Saturday. Garry Wayne Hill, 58, has been released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
Hill's wife called police from her mother's house at about 9 a.m. and said her husband of three years hit and choked her over an argument about money and "his insecurity," an arrest report states. She told deputies she took about $2,000 from Hill and hid it in her shoe so he could not find it.
Hill, who is 6'6" and 265 pounds, reportedly put his foot on her throat and choked her. Police say the victim had bruising and red marks that were consistent with someone who had been choked, as well as a bloody scratch on her right wrist and blood inside her mouth.
The arresting deputy said Hill's wife told him "Garry took her teeth out of her mouth and would not give them or her cell phone to her." Hill eventually drove his wife to her mother's house where she called police.
She refused medical treatment for her injuries, according to the arrest report.
