City Of Tulsa Activates Tulsa Alert System Ahead Of Winter Storm

Staying safe and warm during winter weather is extremely important, considering all the hazards it can cause.

Tulsa Fire Department Captain Stan May says the city has opened its emergency operations center and is monitoring the weather situation.

The Tulsa Area Emergency Management Agency sent its first citywide message to Tulsans Wednesday using the Tulsa Alert mass notification system.

The agency coordinates emergency teams for any response needed during the winter weather that is expected to hit Tulsa.

Tulsa Alert provides quick communication with all Tulsa residents during emergencies.
