Three lanes of northbound Highway 169 at 71st Street South were shut down for several hours Monday after a trash truck broke free from a wrecker and rolled onto its side.

They were reopened by about 3 p.m.

NeWSolutions says one of its trucks being hauled to the repair shop came loose from a tow truck and slid about 500 feet on its side at about 11:15 a.m.

The Tulsa Fire Department was called after NeWSolutions said one of the truck's CNG tanks ruptured causing a leak.

NeWSolutions says the trash truck is part of a fleet of trucks powered by compressed natural gas.

The company says no one was injured, and no other vehicles were involved.

Tulsa Police say the northbound on-ramps to 169 at 91st, 81st and 71st Streets remained closed while crews cleaned up the roadway.
