Hundreds of folks in Green Country won't go without this Thanksgiving, thanks to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, which handed out hundreds of pre made meals to some 300 low income families Wednesday.
"It's a prepared meal. All they have to do tomorrow is heat and eat. Not only is it delicious, it's really nutritious," said Maggie Hoey, with the food bank.
The meals help families not worry about what may or may not be cooking in the oven or on the stove and instead, focus on being together.
While people were waiting in line, the food bank tried out its new mobile eatery, handing out hot chocolate and warm soup to keep everyone warm and full.
