OHP: One Dead, Two Injured In Crash Near Claremore

One person is dead and two others are injured after a crash near Claremore, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

One person is dead and two others are injured after a crash near Claremore, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the driver of a 2001 Buick Park Avenue headed westbound on Highway 266 turned south onto NS 4110 Road and was struck by a 2004 Jeep Wrangler going eastbound.

The crash happened Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.

A passenger in the car, Barbara Olmstead, 76, of Claremore was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver, Robert Olmstead, 79, was flown to a Tulsa hospital. The OHP report says he had head, internal, arm and leg injuries. A second passenger, Rhonda Olmstead, 54, was taken to the hospital, where she was treated and released.

Troopers say the driver of the Jeep, Christopher Hall, 27, of Claremore refused treatment at the scene.
