Driver Takes Out Light Pole On I-44, Leaves Wrecked Car Behind

Tulsa Police are trying to track down a driver who crashed into a light pole on I-44 early Thursday morning, then left the smashed car and pole behind.

It happened just before 2 o'clock this morning on I-44 near Yale.

Police say the Pontiac Grand Prix went off the roadway and hit a light pole, heavily damaging the car and knocking the pole down.

When officers arrived, the driver was gone.

No other vehicles were involved.
