Trebuchets were originally siege weapons used in the Middle Ages to sling heavy objects into the enemy. Today they are used to sling stuff just for fun.

The trebuchet built by students at the Northeast Technology Center in Kansas, Oklahoma was built to set a world record for "punkin chunkin." In the video above, Rick Wells went to check it out.
