Muskogee Police have two people in custody in the shooting of a teenager.

Investigators say two 19-year-olds, Tevin Adams and Richard Johnson, shot out of a car at 19-year-old Dominique Wright.

Corporal Michael Mahan said the shooting took place just before 11 a.m., near North 7th and Market Street. Police said Wright was shot twice--in the leg and back.

He said the driver, Adams, and Johnson both fired at Wright, using the same handgun.

"The victim's injuries do not appear to be life threatening," Mahan said in a news release.

The Early Childhood Center at 901 Emporia was on lockdown as the shooting was investigated. Lockdown has been lifted.

Police said Adams and Johnson each face a charge of shooting with intent to kill, which Johnson will also be charged with possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.
