Tulsa Police recovered a Creek County Ambulance truck in the 2000 block of North Peoria after it was reported stolen early Tuesday from Sapulpa.

Creek County Ambulance Assistant Director Joe McGill says they noticed the ambulance was missing at 7:30 a.m. and thanks to a installed GPS device, he was able to quickly locate the missing ambulance outside a home in north Tulsa.

McGill said the only item taken from the ambulance was a hand-held radio. He said Creek County Ambulance had installed GPS devices in all of their ambulances a week ago.

Tulsa Police are now investigating.
