Getting shot was apparently no deterrent to a Rogers County man who was once again arrested for huffing paint. It's the second arrest related to inhaling paint fumes this year for John Gill, 50.
The last time, a homeowner said he was forced to shoot Gill when the Big Cabin man attacked him while under the influence. That happened in June, and now Gill is back in the county jail for driving under the influence of drugs and obstructing an officer.
Emergency personnel were called to the 23500 block of East 320 Road Thursday after someone reported an unresponsive man behind the wheel of a car, according to Captain Jerry Smittle with the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.

When deputies arrived, an ambulance driver had already blocked the long driveway where Gill's car was idling so he couldn't continue to drive.
Deputies told him to put the car in park and get out of the vehicle. Gill seemed confused and reportedly told police that he had stepped out of the car when he was still sitting behind the wheel. Smittle said eventually a deputy got the man outside the car and in hand restraints.
Smittle said he looked in the car and saw a spray paint can containing gold paint. There was gold paint on the steering wheel, the driver's side door and a plastic bag.
"John also had gold paint on his face, hands and clothing," Smittle said.
Gill was taken to the hospital to be checked out before being taken to jail.
Smittle said the charges are still pending against the Big Cabin resident for the incident in June where he was huffing paint of a retired Tulsa firefighter's property in Foyil. Deputies say Gill attacked the homeowner after being asked to leave, and the retired firefighter was forced to shoot Gill in the leg.
Gill has a 2011 conviction for driving under the influence in Grady County.
