A Sand Springs man got a shock Tuesday night when lightning hit his car, while driving on Interstate 244 in west Tulsa.
Jordan Mixon said he and his passenger, Brier McAfee, could feel the electricity running through their bodies when lightning struck his Chevy Sonic.
"When it hit, we knew it hit. All the lights and everything went out, power steering went out," Mixon said.
Mixon said his car had an electrical surge and the back window blew out.
"It's like the glass just--instead of just shattering, it's like it melted or something, because I can't even find glass in it where you should be seeing it," he said.
Mixon and McAfee said they were a little shaken up, but otherwise felt fine.
