A Catoosa woman is dead after the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says she pulled out in front of dually pickup truck that was pulling a trailer.

Troopers tell us Shirley Green, 58, stopped her car at the intersection of 106th Street North and Sheridan Friday afternoon, but for some reason, went ahead onto the road, even though the truck was coming.

The Dodge Ram, driven by Casey Taylor, 25, of Claremore, hit the car in the driver's side.

OHP says Green was pinned in the car for 34 minutes, before being freed by the Owasso Fire Department. She was transported to an Owasso hospital and pronounced dead there.

Taylor wasn't injured.

Troopers say they see a lot of crashes at that intersection and ask drivers to just slow down and be aware.
