Fatal Crash Closes Northbound Highway 75 At Peoria In Tulsa

The investigation continues into a fatal crash early Friday on Highway 75 just north of the Pine Street exit.

Police said the crash happened at about 6:30 a.m. when a southbound car crossed the median and struck a northbound Land Rover SUV head-on.   

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. EMSA paramedics took a driver and a passenger in the SUV to the hospital.  Both were transported in serious condition.

At the crash scene, police reduced southbound traffic down to one lane at Pine and northbound traffic on 75 had to exit at Peoria. 

Police have since re-opened the highway.

Tulsa Police have not identified those involved in the crash, pending notification of next of kin.
