The Tulsa Drillers jumped out to an early lead against Arkansas Wednesday night, but saw that lead evaporate over the course of the game, falling to the Travelers, 7-2.

Kyle Parker's two-run home run in the first inning gave Tulsa a 2-0 lead, but those would be the only runs the Drillers would score for the game.

Arkansas quickly erased that lead in the bottom of the second inning, stringing together two singles before a double from Carlos Ramirez scored both runners.

Sean Gallagher took the loss for the Drillers while Brandon Hynick picked up the win for Arkansas.

Ramirez came through for the Travelers in the bottom of the sixth inning, knocking another two-RBI double with two outs to extend the Arkansas lead to 4-2.

A sacrifice fly added a run in the bottom of the seventh inning, while a two-run double from Rolando Gomez finished out the scoring.

Tulsa had plenty of opportunities, racking up eight hits, but went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position and left six runners on base.

The two teams are back in action Thursday night with first pitch set for 7:10 p.m.
