Pawnee Teacher Fired After Sexual Misconduct Allegations Surrenders Certificate

A former Pawnee teacher, fired after accusations of sexual misconduct with a student, has voluntarily surrendered his teaching certificate, meaning he won't face a hearing before the Oklahoma Department of Education.

Jeff Tatum resigned back in May.

He'd been the head girls basketball coach, golf coach, and a middle school and high school teacher at Pawnee since 2007.

Tatum has not been charged in connection with the OSBI investigation. The OSBI said it has turned over the investigation to the Pawnee County District Attorney.
