Police Arrest Tulsa Man Accused Of Shaking Baby

Police arrested a Tulsa man on a charge of child abuse by injury Tuesday morning.

Court records state Jared Johnson, 33, injured a 10-month-old boy on April 24.

On May 31, the boy's mother filed for a protective order against Johnson, saying DHS had removed the infant and two other children from the home because of prior domestic abuse.  

The mother said she filed the request for the protective order in order to get her children returned.

Johnson was charged June 27.

According to the charge, Johnson shook the boy violently causing him to suffer "subdural hemorrhages and retinal hemorrhages."

His bond was set at $50,000 with a court appearance set for July 16, 2013.
