Oklahoma Highway Patrol's Marine Investigation Division has released the name the driver of a boat that fled a fatality collision on Lake Eufaula July 4th.

The driver has been identified as 30-year-old Ryan Shumway of McAlester. Although an updated collision report released from the OHP Monday said Shumway turned himself in to the McIntosh County District Attorney's Office, OHP Trooper Betsy Randolph told News On 6 that Shumway's representative met with prosecutors instead.

Two children were injured and an Oklahoma City man killed after Shumway's ski boat hit their pontoon. The pontoon was tied up to another vessel as several people watched a fireworks show near Eufaula Cove. The body of Gary McIninch, 55, was recovered two days after the crash.

Shumway's wife and two children, ages 8 and 10,  were in Shumway's 20-foot Crownline ski boat. They were uninjured, according to the updated collision report from the OHP.

Troopers say Shumway circled around the pontoon and another craft after the collision. He drove off when he learned there was a man missing after the wreck, according to witness accounts.

The McIntosh County Sheriff's Office said that as of 5 p.m. Monday, Shumway was not in custody.
