The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said increased DUI enforcement efforts in the downtown Tulsa area late Friday and early Saturday resulted in 12 arrests.
The OHP says troopers saturated several major Tulsa highways Friday into early Saturday morning in addition to holding a checkpoint in an effort to get drunk drivers off the road.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says as a result of the DUI special emphasis in Tulsa, troopers arrested 12 drivers for driving under the influence and 7 others for drug and alcohol violations.

Officials said 15 state troopers participated in the effort, targeting DUI offenders, aggressive and inattentive drivers as well as alcohol and traffic-related violations.
