Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers arrest a teenager who they say stole a car from a Family Dollar store in west Tulsa and then crashed it during a police chase several hours later.

Troopers say the teen went up to the car parked outside the store at Edison and Gilcrease Museum Road late Tuesday and noticed the car's owner had left the keys in the ignition. They say he got in and drove off.

After picking up some friends, the OHP says troopers spotted the car near 21st and Sheridan early Wednesday and gave chase.  The chase ended when the car crashed into a street pole on 78th East Avenue.

The driver got out and ran, but a Tulsa Police K9 officer caught up with him and he was placed under arrest. The two passengers in the car were also arrested.

The driver was treated at the scene for some dog bites, before he was taken to the Tulsa County jail.
