Tulsa Community College says it has more than enough money now to build a physical therapy clinic at its metro campus.
TCC will name the clinic after the late Nate Waters, a former student. A brutal beating left him confined to a wheelchair when he was just 19, but it only encouraged him to help others deal with their own disabilities.
The college raised nearly $1.5 million for the clinic--over $200,000 more than its goal.
The clinic will offer physical therapy at reduced costs for those in need in the Tulsa area.
Waters was just 35-years-old when he died in April.
