Owasso City Council Expected To Accept City Manager's Resignation Tuesday

According to the agenda posted at City Hall and online Monday, the Owasso City Council will convene for a special meeting to discuss the possible resignation of the City Manager.

According to the agenda for a special meeting called for Tuesday, the Owasso City Council will convene to discuss a resignation agreement with the City Manager.

For three weeks now, Owasso City Manager Rodney Ray has been on paid administrative leave, pending an internal investigation by the city council. Ray was accused of asking for a police video of Vice Mayor Chris Kelley to be deleted and of improperly handling a private donation from a reserve police officer.

Tuesday, the city council will meet and is expected to consider Ray's resignation agreement.

Also on the agenda, is the discussion of appointing Assistant City Manager Warren Lehr as Interim City Manager.

Ray is also facing charges he wrote a bad check and filed a false police report about it. He'll appear in court for that matter again on July 10.
