Will Rogers Turnpike Crash Kills Two Texas Women

Two women are dead after the SUV they were riding in was struck by another vehicle on the Will Rogers Turnpike near Claremore.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a collision on the Will Rogers Turnpike that killed two Texas women. The crash took place about three miles east of Claremore just before 2 a.m.

Troopers say two vehicles were eastbound in the outside lane when a Chrysler driven by a Ketchum woman clipped the driver's side rear of a Chevrolet Suburban driven by 44-year-old Rodolfo Maganas of Elsa, Texas.

Two of Maganas' passengers were killed the Suburban ran off the road and rolled an unknown number of times, according to a collision report.

Dead are Konnie Flores, 16, and Beatric Trevino, 44, both of Edcouch, Texas. The report says Flores, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown almost 50 feet from the SUV. Maganas and another passenger, 42-year-old Salvador Flores Jr. of Edcouch, were admitted to Tulsa hospitals in good condition.

Flores lost his daughter and wife in the crash, the report states.

The driver of the 2012 Chrysler, 46-year-old Cathryn Storey, was not injured. Her condition at the time of the crash is under investigation, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
