The Tulsa Drillers piled up 10 hits Wednesday night, but Springfield only needed three swings of the bat to pull off a 6-2 win.

James Ramsey, Ruben Gotay and Xavier Scruggs all blasted two-run home runs to give the Cardinals all the offense they needed to come away with the win.

Ryan Sherriff picked up the win on the mound for Springfield, while Sean Gallagher took the loss for Tulsa.

The Drillers had plenty of opportunities throughout the game, but failed to convert on most of them, going just 4-of-13 from the plate with runners in scoring position and stranding 12 baserunners.

Tulsa's best chance came in the top of the eighth, trailing 4-2.  The Drillers loaded the bases with nobody out, but couldn't push any runners across.  Joey Wong popped out, Cristhian Adames struck out swinging, and Delta Cleary grounded to second.

The Drillers start a four-game series with NW Arkansas Thursday at ONEOK Field.
