Two people are dead after a pickup filled with teens crashed overnight. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that the single-vehicle wreck took place at 3:46 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Indian Road and Pettit Bay Road, about six miles south of Tahlequah.

Troopers say Ryan Molina, 22, was driving a 2003 Ford truck with two passengers in the cab and four in the bed. Molina was westbound on Pettit Bay Road at a high rate of speed when he ran a stop sign. The pickup went into a slide and hit a tree, according to a collision report.

Dead are 19-year-old Paul Blevins Jr. and 14-year-old Michael Rogers, both of Tahlequah. Both teens were riding in the bed of the pickup and died of massive head and internal injuries, the trooper states in his report.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene by Cherokee EMS.

Micah Holcomb, 18, is in a Tulsa hospital in critical condition. The Tahlequah resident was riding in the front cab but was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver, who was belted in, will be treated and released from the Tahlequah hospital, according to the trooper's report. Two girls and another male received slight or no injuries in the wreck.

OHP is investigating Molina's condition and the cause of the fatality crash.
