A Missouri man was killed after he was ejected from his vehicle in an alcohol-related Ottawa County crash early Saturday morning, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

Forrest E. Fisher, 21, of Seneca, Mo., was pronounced dead along County Road 700, east of Quapaw, just after 1 a.m.

His passenger, Tucker L. Fenix, 21, of Neosho, was transported to a Joplin hospital in fair condition.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Fisher was northbound when he departed the road to the left and overcorrected. The 2002 Chevrolet Blazer rolled 1 ¾ times, coming to rest on its passenger side, the collision report said.

Fisher was ejected and the vehicle landed on top of him.

Fisher smelled of alcohol, OHP said, and the cause of the crash is listed in the investigator's report as DUI.

Neither man was wearing a seatbelt, the trooper's report said.
