What Memorial Day weekend is really about is honoring the men and women who dedicated their lives to protecting ours.

The Tulsa-based bike club, Eagles Nest IMB, took off Friday for their annual ride to the VA Medical Center in Memphis.

Every year, the group brings gifts, entertainment and donations to the hospital. And this trip means just as much for the riders as it does the veterans.

"It's heart wrenching, but to show them respect and give them a dog tag, means everything in the world to some of the guys that haven't had love and appreciation," said Rick Zickefoose.

They'll arrive in Memphis Saturday around noon.

This year, they're giving the hospital a $10,000 donation.
