Shock Finalizes Roster; Cuts Former Sooner Paris

The Tulsa Shock finalized its roster by cutting ties with former Sooners' star Courtney Paris on Thursday.

The Tulsa Shock finalized its roster for the 2013 WNBA season on Thursday. by cutting ties with former OU star Courtney Paris. 

Riquna Williams, Kayla Pedersen, Roneeka Hodges, Jennifer Lacy and Glory Johnson are the five returning players from the 2012 season, while Tiffany Jackson-Jones and Elizabeth Cambage return to the team after not playing last season.

New additions include veterans Nicole Powell and Candice Wiggins who were acquired in the off-season in a blockbuster trade. Rounding out the eleven player roster are rookies Skylar Diggins and Angel Goodrich.

One noteable player to not make the roster is former OU star Courtney Paris.

The former seventh-round pick of the Sacramento Monarchs spent last season playing for the Atlanta Dream.

The 6-foot-4 Paris averaged 19.9 points per game and 14.8 rebounds per game during her standout college career.

Paris finished her time at OU with 20 NCAA and 57 Big 12 records.
