A stalled pickup led to a chain reaction wreck involving a Tulsa police car. It happened shortly before 3 a.m. on the eastbound Broken Arrow Expressway near Memorial Drive.
Sergeant Chris Moudy of the Tulsa Police Department said a pickup truck stalled out on the highway. Another vehicle swerved to avoid the truck and crashed into a retaining wall. A third vehicle hit the back of the truck.
Police officers arrived on scene, diverting traffic with emergency lights and cones, but another driver rear-ended one of the police cruisers. The officer was not in the car when it was hit. The cruiser was probably a total loss, Maudi said.
The driver that rear-ended the police car was cited for inattentive driving. No serious injuries were reported.
